When you say the Fed is working to protect the dollar, please explain why the Fed is moving toward CBDC with FedNow. It seems to me that CBDCs will replace the dollar, and replacing the dollar will be easier to accomplish when the economy is in shambles and the people are begging for help: Sure, we'll help you out. Here's your Universal Basic Income in CBDC. If Powell is against this, why is there FedNow?
