इस एपिसोड में पढ़ी गयी कविता एक एक्सरसाइज से निकल कर आयी है | बच्चों से कहा गया था कि वो अपनी रोज़ी ज़िन्दगी को टटोलें और सोचें की अपनेपन का अहसास उन्हें कब, कहाँ और किस तरह महसूस होता है | इसकी कवि चौदाह साल की हैं | वो गोवंडी में स्थित एक म्युनिसिपल स्कूल में पढ़ती हैं | वो एक बेहद खचाखच भरे कम्पाउंड में रहती हैं | तमाम मुंबई में झुग्गी बस्तियों और सड़क किनारे रहने वाले लोगों के पुनर्वासन का काम कई सालों से जारी है | कवि जिस भरे हुए मोहल्ले में रहती हैं वहां पर रहने के अपने संकट होते हैं | साफ़-सफाई का अभाव, खेलने के लिए सुरक्षित जगहों का न होना और बिजली पानी का कोई भरोसा नहीं | ऐसे हालातों में बच्चे क्या महसूस करते हैं ? अभाव के माहौल में अपने आस-पास के लोगों से उनके रिश्तों पर क्या असर पड़ता होगा ? ऐसे में, अपनेपन का अहसास आखिर कहाँ से आता होगा?
अतिथि के बारे मेंनताशा बदवार लेखक, फिल्मकार और शिक्षक हैं | उन्होंने दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय से मनोविज्ञान में स्नातक हासिल करी थी | जामिआ मिलिआ इस्लामिया से मास कम्युनिकेशन में मास्टर्स की पढ़ाई करी | फिलहाल नताशा अशोका विश्वविद्यालय सोनीपत में मीडिया स्टडीज़ विभाग में बतौर प्रोफेसर कार्यरत हैं | अपने करियर की शुरुआत उन्होंने NDTV के साथ बतौर कैमरा पर्सन की थी | ऐसा करने वाली वो हिन्दुस्तान की पहली महिलाओं में से एक रहीं | उनके लिखे गए कॉलम बीबीसी हिंदी, द ट्रिब्यून, मिंट लाउन्ज और द मॉर्निंग कॉन्टेक्स्ट और अन्य सरीखी पत्रिकाओं में शायां हो चुके हैं | साइमन और सचस्टर से छपी My Daughter’s Mum and I एवं Immortal for a Moment संस्मरणों का लेखन भी नताशा के नाम हैं | हर्ष मंदर और जॉन दयाल के संग उन्होंने वेस्टलैंड बुक्स की किताब, Reconciliation, Karwan e Mohabbat’s Journey of Solidarity Through a Wounded India लिखी | हर्ष मंदार और अनिर्बान भट्टाचार्य के संग उन्होंने When the Mask Came Off: Lockdown 2020 लिखी | 2016 और 2022 में उन्हें रिपोर्टिंग और डाक्यूमेंट्री वर्ग में लाड़ली मीडिया और एडवरटाइजिंग पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया |
