When we think of Enneagram 3, we often think of confidence, ambition, and maybe even aggression.

By now in this series, we know that the three subtypes within each Enneagram type will dramatically change the way that person presents both publicly and privately, but what does that mean for the 3s specifically?

On this episode of The Leadership Formula, I continue the conversation around subtypes within each Enneagram type, this time, with the 3s.

I discuss why social 3s are the most true to the stereotypes of Enneagram 3s, why the self-preservation 3 is a counter-type within the 3s, and why Enneagram 2s and 3s often get mistyped as each other if they fall into the one-on-one subtype.

Listen in to understand the nuances of each subtype and why having a deep understanding of your subtype is vital to your personal growth.

What You Will Learn

Biological survival drives: self preservation, social, and one-to-one bonding (nuances of each subtype)
Why it is vitally important to understand your subtype within your Enneagram type
How the subtypes can change our core motives and fears are expressed
How understanding you subtype can lead to extreme personal growth
The self preservation 3 is a counter type within the 3s
Why self-preservation 3s don’t want to be seen as image-oriented but value being recognized for their hard work and accomplishments
Why a lot of Enneagram 2s and 3s with the one-on-one subtype get mistyped as each other
How social 3s are motivated by prestige and fit the most common stereotype of the Enneagram 3
Why the social 3 is the most competitive out of all Enneagram types and subtypes
Why women oftentimes get mistyped as 8s when they are actually 3s
