This week we are joined by guitarist Mike Cunniff of the band Boston Manor. Mike breaks down the creation of the bands 2nd full-length album Welcome to The Neighbourhood, which was released in 2018 via Pure Noise Records. Mike expresses the sentiment that this record felt like the band finally coming to their own and finding their own sound. He shares how finding the right collaborators for a particular project are quintessential in bringing it to life. In this case, that collaborator was none other than legendary rock producer Mike Sapone. Sapone’s experience working with some of the most influential bands from the long-island music scene gave him the perspective needed to bring out a complex darkness and sonic authenticity Boston Manor had been searching for in its previous work, but had yet to be fully realised.
