Let me preface this with saying I watch a lot of Overwatch reports. Overwatch leauge and watched the Overwatch World Cup. Esports do require a lot of skill, but, I feel as though its skill that isn't related to the other events in the Olympics. So it would fit into a weird spot

15 years ago strategy guides had a place, but now with the internet they're obsolete

Strategy guides are now a novelty. There's a guide for every game released on the internet, the day the game comes out. Also, all games now have DLC and updates. So a strategy guide will now never be complete.
