Dr. Chris Whaley grew up in Central Florida where as a young boy, he was constantly sick, in and out of the hospital. While in the hospital he watched professional wrestling on TV and dreamed of becoming a pro wrestler. He began to put on weight and was encouraged to work out in a gym with weights. He wrestled for ten years, wrestling four world champions. In 1988, he retired from wrestling to become a minister.
