Recently, he made a bid to follow in his father's funky footsteps as a marquee artist in his own right. His new song, "R.O.Y.A.L.T.Y", is everything. You might say it applies to the songwriter's bloodline. He is R&B royalty — the son of Robert "Kool" Bell and nephew of Ronald Bell, co-founders of the legendary funk group "Kool & The Gang," whose hits included"Celebration," "Jungle Boogie," "Joanna," and "Get Down on It."
