After 61 years Northland Center (a.k.a Northland Mall), the first regional shopping mall in the United States, is closing with little fanfare.

Over the past 25 years, the mall has gone through a slow, painful decline. In the past ten years there have been shootings and even a death. Yet to a photographer, an artist, a former Hudson's employee and former patrons, Northland is a place of great sentiment and importance.
