Welcome to Day 552 of our Wisdom-Trek, and thank you for joining me.
This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to Wisdom
Our Rose-Colored Glasses – Wisdom Unplugged

Thank you for joining us for our 5 days per week wisdom and legacy building podcast. This is day 552 of our trek, and it is time for a 3-minute mini-trek called Wisdom Unplugged. This short nugget of wisdom includes an inspirational quote with a little additional content for today’s trek. Consider this your vitamin supplement of wisdom for today. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget.

Today quote is from J. I. Packer who said, "Not until we have become humble and teachable, standing in awe of God's holiness and sovereignty…acknowledging our own littleness, distrusting our own thoughts, and willing to have our minds turned upside down, can divine wisdom become ours."We all see through our own rose-colored glasses. That is to say, our own world view is based on what we have filtered through our senses, our experiences, our education, and our belief system. It is only when we realize that we are prone to skew our view of reality based on our paradigm will we ever be able to understand how much more we have yet to learn.

One key characteristic of a person who is becoming wise is knowing that they lack wisdom, insight, and understanding. We must search for wisdom like it was a hidden treasure and seek for it as we would seek for gold. Through this process, we will come to the realization of how much more we have yet to learn and that we should always seek more wisdom. It is then we will begin to receive divine wisdom. As Proverbs 9:9 tells us, "Instruct the wise, and they will be even wiser. Teach the righteous, and they will learn even more."That’s a wrap for today’s Wisdom Unplugged quote. If you would like free access to my database of over 10,000 inspirational quotes, the link is available on the main page of Wisdom-Trek.com. As you enjoy these nuggets of wisdom, encourage your friends and family to join us, and then come along tomorrow for another day of our Wisdom-Trek, Creating a Legacy.
