Hello, my friend, I am Guthrie Chamberlain, your captain on our journey to increase wisdom and create a living legacy. Thank you for joining us today as we explore wisdom on our 2nd millennium of podcasts. This is Day 1227 of our trek, and time for a 3-minute mini-trek called Humor Unplugged.  Our Thursday podcast will provide a short and clean funny story to help you lighten up and live a rich and satisfying life -  womething to cheer you and provide a bit a levity in your life.

We are told in  Proverbs 15:30, "A cheerful look brings joy to the heart; good news makes for good health." We are also encouraged in Proverbs 17:22,  "A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength." Consider this your vitamin supplement of cheer for today. So let’s jump right in with today’s funny which is titled:
I Don’t Even Know Her


John and Margaret, an older couple, were having dinner in a nice restaurant. Margaret sees another couple about their age sitting in a booth nearby. She sees the husband sitting close to his wife, with his arm around her. He is whispering things in her ear, and she is smiling and blushing. He's gently rubbing her shoulder and touching her hair.

Margaret turns to John, who was busy eating his salad, and says, "Look at the couple over there. Look how close that man is to his wife, how he's talking to her. Look at how sweet he is. Why don't you ever do that?"

John looks up from his Caesar salad and glances over at the next booth. Then he turns to Margaret, with a quizzical look on his face and says, "Honey, why would I do that, I don't even know that woman."



I hope that brought a smile to your face today. If it did, pass your smile on to some else. We all could use a good smile. Our Thursday thought is “Smile at strangers; it may just change a life.”
