Denver Broncos finally getting their first win!
Then, we are joined by world-renowned orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist
Dr. Matthew Provencher!
Dr. Provencher has worked with some of the most elite athletes in the world. He was the head team physician for the
New England Patriots during their 2014 Super Bowl season and has served as a physician for the
US Ski and Snowboard Team.
He also serves as a 2nd opinion orthopaedist for
the NFL,
MLB, and the NHL. In addition to these positions, he has acted as an assistant team physician for the
Boston Red Sox and
Boston Bruins.
He was recently named as Chief Injury and Performance Analyst for
FoxSports, where he and his team "
the Predictors" provide injury and performance insights in the realm of professional and collegiate sports.
He continues his duties in
the Navy as a Reservist and was most recently assigned to
Navy Seal Team 17 in Coronado, CA.
We discuss the rate of NFL injuries on natural grass versus synthetic turf. Could
New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers return this season? We also discuss what it was like working closely with Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, and some of the scariest injuries that he has seen in his amazing career!
