Tunisia's Central Bank Digital Currency is named the "E-Dinar," and will be rolled out with 2000 kiosks positioned throughout their country in the coming months, as well as online purchasing of the currency.
Tunisia announced their intention to utilize their CBDC for cross-border payments, disintermediating their reliance upon the S.W.I.F.T. Clearinghouse System.
This signals an HISTORIC trend emerging as we speak, as many other nations are slated to soon launch their own CBDC's.
