Please join me for the sixth episode in the Conversations with Alan series in The Locher Room to meet a group of 2G's – children of Holocaust Survivors. These three individuals are working to honor the memory and legacy of the survivors and victims, to promote awareness of the Holocaust, and to provide education of this and other genocides. Come hear their family’s story of survival during WWII and learn about the work and the messages they are sharing around the country to make sure something like this never happens again. With anti-Semitism on the rise, we four feel the need to use our voices to help educate others about a part of history we don't want to ever see repeated.

Joining me for this conversation are Dr. Ettie Zilber, who is an author, educator and speaker who serves on the board of the Phoenix Holocaust Association and supports committee work of the Anti-Defamation League and the Arizona Jewish Historical Society; Ken Engel who is Chair of Children of Holocaust Survivors Association in Minnestoa (CHAIM), a Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area group of children (second generation, a.k.a 2Gs), grandchildren (3Gs), and other descendants and friends of Holocaust survivors; and Janice Friebaum, M.S., M.A., is Vice President of the Phoenix Holocaust Association and a freelance educator, presenter and trainer on topics related to the Holocaust, Holocaust survivors and survivors’ descendants. Janice and Ken are both members of the governing Coordinating Council of Generations of the Shoah International (GSI), the world’s largest Holocaust family organization.
