In this episode, Dave breaks the 30-minute time barrier and conducts a 60-minute interview with his friend of 10 years who happens to be a standup comedian living in Brooklyn, New York, Vernon Payne. Vernon breaks the Dumbing it Down with Dave color barrier by being Dave's first black guest. Neither one really takes any of this seriously, they’re just being silly comedians. Although Dave is considering buying Vernon a DIDWD baseball jersey with the number 42, which was Jackie Robinson’s Brooklyn Dodger number.
