Among those who appear to have benefitted from the Supreme Court’s Citizen United ruling, which eased campaign spending rules and allowed anonymous donor money to go to nonprofit groups run by political activists, Ginni Thomas and her buddy Leonard Leo.
Politico reports Ginni Thomas and Leonard Leo wanted to be the leaders of a conservative movement that funded a billion-dollar network of tax-exempt charities and social welfare organizations to allegedly benefit their friends and themselves.
Former Trump, Chief of Staff Mark Meadows has been trying to get his trial moved from Georgia state court to federal court. He is now asking a judge to pause the order denying the move to federal court. Why?
