Book-ended between scenes in a location we are told is ‘the most romantic place on planet Earth’ - the fucking airport - and overflowing with both love AND Christmas songs, LOVE ACTUALLY takes us on a journey of well LOVE, ACTUALLY. Or rather the journey of a group of intertwined characters, some of whom have relationships that are explained (and others not so much... see Emma Thompson and Liam Neeson) as they desperately try to figure out how this crazy little thing called love works. There are all kinds of love going on: Love between people who don’t share the same language, love between a Prime Minister and a ‘movie fat’ girl, and even love between Laura Linney and the hottest Italian and/or Spanish guy anyone has ever seen whose name isn’t Antonio or Roberto - it’s Karl. Seriously. KARL. But this is love, people, so we don’t judge. Oh, who are we kidding? Of course, we judge. That’s why we do this podcast.
