Life in Lari is not always easy. Days are long, the sun beats down without empathy, and the night is both cold and crowded. But the people of this city, stretching from the salt-sparkling coast to the cross-stitched depths of its forests at the foot of those great aloof mountains, the people of this city have found their blessings wherever they may be. The land has its gifts, and the land takes its share.
