Finally.

After nearly three weeks of being stuck at #36, Mike Moustakas did the impossible, dethroning Steve Balboni as the Royals single-season home run record holder. On Wednesday night, just as we started recording, Moose hit home run #37 to set a new Royals record and we were excited.

We discussed the significance of the record, what else to track with Moose the rest of the season (do I hear 40?), and the relief that it has finally been broken.

And Danny Duffy returned from the disabled list with a strong start at Cleveland. We talked about what to look at in the last week and a half of the season regarding Duffy and the rest of the rotation.

We also covered Alex Gordon's strong September and hoped that it means good things for 2018 and 2019.

Finally, we talked about Mike Minor's season and what the Royals should try to do to retain him this winter.
