Walaakum salaam wa rahmatulaahi wa baraaktuh. Allahu yafudkum. I'm thinking ... pertaining to preparing for the Eid before Ramadan. Some may want to get things out of the way so that they can prepare to fast without distractions. So, in preparing for the Eid they're really preparing to fast b/c they don't want to overexert themselves due to work, fasting, standing up, etc. So the preparation for the children is indeed in preparation for the fasting. It will be difficult to prepare during Ramadan and too much stress to prepare on the day of Eid itself. So I can see this.....
