In this edition of the Bucs MinuteCast Dan talks about the Bucs signing Mike Evans to. 2-year extension and what that means for Evans and the Bucs
The Buccaneers took care of one of their biggest off-season questions today by signing wide receiver Mike evans for two-year deal worth $52 million
So what does that mean for Baker and the rest of the Bucs
It seems like the next logical step would be to sign quarterback Baker Mayfield to a new deal. Baker has said before that if he's coming back he wants Evans back as well
Baker Mayfield the journeyman quarter back signed a prove me contract with the Bucs (making less that some teams back up quarterbacks) came to Tampa with a chip on his shoulder and a true hunger to prove that he was a legitimate option as a premiere quarterback in the national football league. And he did just that by setting career highs in touchdowns and passing yards in leading Tampa to its third straight division title.
But what about the rest of the Bucs? This is all about keeping the band together and see if they can bang out another hit. I think with Evans signs and most assuredly Baker Mayfield this will provide a stable foundation for other Bucs to return
