Brian interviews Axel Breuer and Pieter Kool. Axel and Pieter, who have both been residents of Mississauga for over 45 years, are working with the Mississauga Residents’ Association Network (MIRANET) and their own Ratepayer Group and have really torn into understand the City budget. Their numbers are right, the city numbers take the Mississauga tax increase and divide it by the taxes for both Mississauga and the Region of Peel and thereby under represent the tax increase by almost three fold. Tax increases of 6 % + will double your taxes in ten years. This is in unsustainable and unaffordable.
