If you’ve watched the evening news in Toronto over the past 30 years, then you will know Tom Hayes very well. He’s had an award-winning career as a news anchorman and reporter on CTV News, City TV, and most recently Global News, but now he’s reinventing how we consume local news. He discusses the evolution of news consumption, with highlighting the shift from traditional to digital news platforms. Tom shared his experience with local news and his role as a professor, and expressed his belief that the future of news is about providing information on demand.
