In this episode we continue studying the Book of Genesis. In this episode we learn about the giants that once lived on earth and how they came into existence.

We are told that when the Son's of God saw that the daughters of men were fair they took wives for themselves.

The question is who are the Son's of God?

Perhaps the book of Job reveals the answer in Job chapter 1 verse 6. Here’s the text:

Job 1:6  Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.

Angels appear to be the Sons of God. God himself, speaks of angels as being the Sons of God and he calls them Morning Stars in his conversation with Job in chapter 38 verse 7. Here’s the text:

Job 38:7  When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

The angels that left their first estate mentioned in Jude verse 5, refers to the angels or the Sons of God who left their positions in God’s kingdom to intermingle with the daughters of men, because they were attracted to them.

When people increased and multiplied on the earth, God appointed angels to be judges on earth. Since they had partaken of the tree of knowledge of good and evil they would need unbiased, holy beings to render justice.

But some of the angels decided they would rather take on flesh so they could have relationships with women. God gave them the choice to make that decision, but there was no turning back if they decided to take on flesh.

They gave up their heavenly assigned positions or offices for intimacy with women and they seek to entice men to do the same today, forsake God, thrones, offices and power for it.

They forsook their positions, and chose to disown their Father God. So God has replaced them with us. Jesus said when the resurrection occurs we will be like the angels in heaven.

Matthew 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

We are the Sons and Daughters of God and have a place in his kingdom and work to do on the earth.

1John 3:1  Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

1John 3:2  Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

We also discuss Noah and the ark, we note that God required him to seal the ark with pitch.
Strongs says, pitch means to cover (specifically with bitumen), to cancel, appease, make atonement, cleanse, forgive, be merciful, pardon, purge (away), put off, (make) reconciliation.

Jesus blood is the pitch that saves us from the flood of sin and death. Because of him our sins have been forgiven, they've been pardoned and we have been redeemed and reconciled to God. Although we have all gone astray, and turned everyone to his or her way, and our righteousness is as filthy rags before him, Jesus still loves us and allowed God to lay our iniquity upon him, so that Satan’s power over us can be broken.

Jesus is the ultimate Giant Slayer and the vessel into which we must reside if we want to be saved from the power of the second death
