It's bonus show time again, and Jacob Grondy, from Curtain Jerkin' on WrestlingWithWrestling.com is back! It was the first official Royal Rumble in WWE history. It was on USA Network; not on pay-per-view, the Royal Rumble match was a 20-man match, and it was made entirely to counter-program the NWA's Bunkhouse Stampede pay-per-view. The Rumble match wasn't even the marquee thing at the event; Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant's contract signing for the WWF Title match at Saturday Night's Main Event was THE big segment on the show. On top of this, the show was held in Ontario, Canada while half the roster was in British Columbia on the other side of the country, holding a house show.
