Beauty and the Beast is a fairytale akin to Sleeping Beauty or the princess kissing the frog.
It's a good story and different than the Disney version. With the moral being that real beauty is on the inside. And we should not judge people based on appearance or status. I gave it four stars. The earliest known version was this one written by Madame De Villenueve.
