I believe our "sensitivities" are shaped by what is expected of us in our society at any given time.
Mister Rogers always made me cringe.
I think you may have something there about how we change in relation to comedy from before. Maybe in the last five years, my comedy was valid and relatable before, but now with everyone being super politically correct, they do not like it or if they do, they must never admit it.
Hard to do deep breaths in this hazardous air quality from the wild fires, but I did it. This air makes my eyes burn and it clogs me up in my respiratory tract.
