Always remember, don't believe the critics! ;) American Animals is about 4 college students that attempt to steal priceless books from their school's library. This isn't based on a true story, IT IS A TRUE STORY. AA uses a classic documentary interview style with the actual people who did this along with actors who portray them in the movie.
