Guadalupe Victoria Yolí Raymond'=, La Yi Yi Yi, La Lupe whatever name you know her by was the phenomenon that burst onto the burgeoning latin music scene in the U.S. in the 60's and amazed audiences with her unique vocals & thrilling live performances. La Lupe is beloved all over til this day. If you don't know who she is let this episode be your introduction and its worth the Youtube & Google investigation. In 2008 there was a greatest hits compilation deceptively titled, Dance With The Queen and while it is a great representation of La Lupe's work you don't really get to "dance" with the Queen as half the track list are ballads in which La Lupe excelled so you really just got to get your two-step on or if you were lucky and she let you a little slow grind.
