Nl: Lisanne stond in het hart van Amsterdam.
En: Lisanne stood in the heart of Amsterdam.

Nl: "Waar zijn toch die stroopwafels?
En: "Where are those stroopwafels?

Nl: ", vroeg ze zich af.
En: ", she wondered.

Nl: Ze was dol op die zoete, plakkerige koeken.
En: She loved those sweet, sticky cookies.

Nl: In een stad vol doolhofachtige straten was ze verdwaald.
En: In a city full of maze-like streets, she was lost.

Nl: Ze liep door oude, bochtige straten.
En: She walked through old, winding streets.

Nl: Daar zag ze hoge huizen, bomen en kanalen.
En: There she saw tall houses, trees, and canals.

Nl: De stadslucht rook naar verse bloemen en kruidige hapjes.

Nl: Ze zag kraampjes vol bloemen, kaas en verse vis.
En: She saw stalls full of flowers, cheese, and fresh fish.

Nl: En ja, daar rook ze het eindelijk!
