In what can only be described as an extraordinarily bad policy, there was a point in time last week where Prince Andrew could have been pushed into the seat of power if the queen had come down ill. Due to the fact that his brother and other members of the royal line of succession were out of the country, if the Queen would have fallen ill, the disgraced Andrew would have been at the reins of power until Charles could have been fetched home.
