She is a Visiting Assistant Professor and Incoming Director of the Center for U.S.-Latin America Initiatives at The University of Texas at Dallas. Dr. Munoz-Hunt won the Blue Mesa Review Nonfiction Prize for "Border Sisters" in 2020, and was recently named a 2022-2023 Mellon Applied History Fellow.
