Luke 14:12-14. Picking up where we left off last week, Jesus is dealing with the difference between religious behaviour and true discipleship. What we see is that a church that follows Jesus is a church that (3) gives in light of the mercy of God; a truth that creates the potential for the church to be the most generous organisation on the earth.
