Bryan deputy fire marshal William Bouse visits with WTAW's Bill Oliver about a ladder truck that is back in service following $89,000 dollars of repairs.

The basket portion of the truck and a water line had to be replaced after the driver had to take evasive action last September.

That's because an oncoming car didn't pull over as the engine was running red lights and siren.

Insurance picked up $39,000 dollars, and the city council approved the remaining $50,000 at their last meeting.

The damage was the result of the ladder truck basket striking low hanging tree limbs when the engine had to avoid hitting the car that didn't pull over.
