Have you heard of IV Therapy before?  Or have been curious about how it can support you?  Listen to this episode with Christine Sapiano, one of the wonderful RNs of Ayurveda Hydration, where we discuss all things IVs, how they can help, who they're for, and what's included in their IV blends and why.

Ayurveda Hydration is a concierge IV hydration and vitamin therapy service located in Detroit, MI.  They offer booster shots and targeted IV therapies that are meant to help you stay balanced.  Their services are mobile, so that means they come to you.

Just by talking with Christine, I can tell that she has a passion for what she does and she truly wants to help people in a safe and healthy way.  When this episode was recorded, we were still under the Stay At Home Order in Michigan and Ayurveda Hydration was not operating.  Christine's services are now available (of course following strict protocols) and you can learn more at the website below and you can directly ask her questions via her Instagram page @christine_ahydration.

Studies on high-dose vitamin C IV therapies, one of the components in many of Ayurveda Hydration's blends, have been shown this therapy to be cytotoxic (only goes after cancer cells and protects healthy cells) and anti-metastatic (prevents cancer from spreading).  It can help protect cells against oxidative damage as well, something that is common with radiation, surgery, and chemotherapy.  In this study, high-dose vitamin C helped reduce common side effects associated with treatment, in particular of nausea, loss of appetite, fatigue, depression, sleep disorders, and dizziness.  Christine also shares in the episode that she's seen a reduction in pain and neuropathy with targeted IV therapies and shots like B12 and magnesium.  The B complex that they use also supports fast growing cells like our hair, skin, stomach lining, and nails that are often compromised during treatment. And their B6 component has been shown to help with nausea.

If targeted IV therapy is something you're considering adding to your health regimen, I highly recommend you discuss it with your doctor.  As Christine mentions in the episode, she is unable to provide IV therapy without clearance from your MD if you are undergoing cancer treatment.

I hope you enjoy my conversation with Christine and learn as much about IV therapy as I did.
