Some really important and pressing questions have arisen as people now want to move closer to God. One of these questions being: Can people lose their salvation once they give themselves to the Lord Jesus. Jim Putman, Senior Pastor of Real Life Ministries, joins me to help answer this question. I also have received a large number of emails asking me “Do I have to leave my home in the ‘separate countries’?” Jim also helps answer this question. Jim and I share a long and insightful discussion as we dive into these topics.
What does God’s Word say?
1 Peter 3:13-17 13 Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good? 14 But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. “Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened.” 15 But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, 16 keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander. 17 For it is better, if it is God’s will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.
Ephesians 6:10-18 The Armor of God
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

Your guest today does not properly represent the (Calvinist) Reformed theology. He is uninformed and therefore unable to give it justice. We do believe a Chistian can back slide and fall into sin. If God has chosen that person, He will restore them though the means He has ordained IE The Church.
The fact of the matter is God has chosen some to be vessels of His wrath prepare for destruction, Romans 9 again. If you want to be fair to us Reformed folks see if you can get an interview with someone from https://www.ligonier.org/.

Hey Todd long time listener. First heard you on Rush’s show. About ‘losing your salvation’. I have a question. Is God sovereign? If you can change His election, choosing or calling of you to eternal life then the answer is no.
Look at Romans, chapter 9-11.
14 What shall we say then? Is there injustice on God's part? By no means! 15 For he says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” 16 So then it depends not on human will or exertion,[b] but on God, who has mercy. 17 For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, “For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I might show my power in you, and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.” 18 So then he has mercy on whomever he wills, and he hardens whomever he wills.
