Something special happened this weekend at the for KING & COUNTRY concert… Did you catch it? About 30 minutes into the show, Joel & Luke ran around the perimeter of the audience with a spotlight on them as they high-fived audience members. A young girl got a high five from Luke, and at first they sorta missed, so he turned around to high five her again and make it a good one! We watched her reaction, as she turned to her mom, beaming, and they both squealed as they looked at each other, then she looked back at her hand in amazement! Then back at her mom! Then threw both arms in the air and screamed with joy. The young girl’s name is Jade, and her mom is Taya. Jade told us she was adopted three days ago and these tickets were given to her as a celebration gift! Her mom smiled and her eyes welled up with tears. Jade continued “I was in foster care for a lot of years, and it was hard and lonely. This is the family I’ve been waiting for.” We love that the for KING & COUNTRY tour is actually called, "What Are You Waiting For?" We're so happy that Jade found what she was waiting for, a new life with her new family. Thank you for sharing with us, Jade and Taya!
