In this episode, Chris welcomes Andrew Farago who is the curator of San Francisco’s Cartoon Art Museum and author of a number of books including “Batman: The Definitive History of the Dark Knight in Comics, Film, and Beyond” and “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Ultimate Visual History”. Andrew has selected one of his favorite story arcs from New Mutants, “The Demon Bear Saga”. Chris Claremont and Bill Sienkiewicz crafted a tale that redefined the new mutant team for a generation. When Mirage (Danielle Moonstar) is severely injured after a confrontation with the mystical Demon Bear, the same creature believed to be responsible for the deaths of her parents, it's up to her teammates The New Mutants to find a way to thwart the deviant machinations of the sinister entity before it infects the world with it's shadow.
