Riprendo a parlare di podcast [in basso il link a 3' grezzi Ep. 166 Cos'è il podcast? (1)], questo nuovo strumento che ha rivoluzionato il modo in cui... bugia! è vero che ci sono cose che solo il podcast ci permette di fare, ma una di queste non è certamente il racconto immersivo e coinvolgente. Quello lo facevano egregiamente già nel 1924!

Qualche tempo fa, nell'episodio numero 166 dei 3'grezzi, vi avevo cominciato a parlare del podcast, e avevo cominciato a spiegare cosa è il podcast. Oggi voglio continuare analizzando (brevemente perché in tre minuti non è che si possa fare tanto), analizzando brevemente come il podcast sta veramente reinventando il mezzo radiofonico. Perché? Anzitutto perché il podcast non è legato alla geografia del luogo, quindi questo podcast che io faccio giornalmente viene ascoltato da persone in tutto il mondo, soprattutto da quando sono riuscita a superare il limite della lingua italiana che viene parlata da una pochissima percentuale della popolazione mondiale, mentre una grande percentuale della popolazione mondiale capisce la lingua inglese, e quindi sto traducendo i miei podcast con i sottotitoli in inglese. Quindi il podcast mi permette di avere un pubblico che non è legato alla geografia del luogo in cui io mi trovo fisicamente e quindi posso rivolgermi anche a un pubblico internazionale. Il podcast mi permette di parlare in modo asincrono, io registro questa puntata quando voglio, poi, soprattutto, voi ascoltate quando fa più comodo a voi, potete anche ascoltarla più volte. Quindi c'è il trionfo della voce, e a volte anche dei degli effetti sonori, ma nel mio caso, nel caso dei 3'grezzi solo della voce, puoi anche permette di esplorare diversi generi, anche perché a differenza di una produzione video, che per quanto fatta con un budget molto limitato deve comunque avere certe caratteristiche, per fare un podcast veramente non ci vuole niente, basta avere un computer collegato su internet e poi si può fare, chiunque lo può fare. Quindi è vero che il podcast sta reinventando il mezzo radiofonico, adesso però ci metto un punto interrogativo perché non è vero assolutamente niente, perché il podcast non si è inventato niente. Già all'inizio del 1900 ci sono, da quando praticamente è nata la radio, ci sono degli esempi pazzeschi, di bellissimi radiodrammi che sfruttano al massimo le potenzialità di questo mezzo che permette di immaginarsi le cose e non essere invece costretti a vederle con gli occhi del regista video che ci fa vedere i personaggi così come vuole lui o come vuole lei. Cito solo una radiodrama del 1924 che è il primo radio dramma prodotto dalla BBC che racconta la storia di questi minatori intrappolati nelle profondità della terra e le prime parole del radio dramma sono "Che succede? First of all because the podcast is not linked to the geography of a place, so this podcast that I do daily is listened to by people all over the world, especially since I managed to overcome the limit of the Italian language which is spoken by a very small percentage of the world population, while a large percentage of the world population understands English and therefore I am translating my podcasts with English subtitles. So the podcast allows me to have an audience that is not linked to the geography of the place where I am physically and therefore I can also address an international audience. The podcast allows me to speak asynchronously, I record this episode when I want, then, above all, you listen when it suits you best, you can also listen to it several times. So there is the triumph of the voice, and sometimes even of the sound effects (in my case, with my podcast only of the voice), you can also allow yourself to explore different genres, also because unlike a video production, which even on a very limited budget, it must still have certain characteristics, to make a podcast it really doesn't take much, you just need to have a computer connected to the internet and then you can do it, anyone can do it. So it is true that the podcast is reinventing radio as a medium, but now I put a question mark on it because it is absolutely untrue, because podcast did not invent anything. Already at the beginning of 1900 there are, since radio was just born, there are some crazy examples of beautiful radio plays that exploit the potential of this medium to the maximum, which allows you to imagine things and not be forced to see them with the eyes of the video director who shows us the characters as he wants or as she wants. I mention only a radio drama from 1924 which is the first radio drama produced by the BBC that tells the story of these miners trapped in the depths of the earth and the first words of the radio drama are "What's going on?
