The Brazos County tax office is getting calls from property owners who have received a postcard about a new website where you can look up property tax rates for local jurisdictions.

Tax assessor-collector Kristy Roe says the website, http://brazos.countytaxrates.com, was mandated by the legislature last year.

Roe says her office entered the data and the appraisal district sent the postcards for the new website.

There is no charge for using the website, and Roe says this is not a notice to pay property tax bills.
