In the small hours of August 23, 1987, 16-year-old Don Henry and 17-year-old Kevin Ives set out together for a late night hunting trip with a pocketful of weed and a rifle. Just a few hours later, the two would be seen reclining on a railroad track mere seconds before they were mangled by a locomotive traveling 50mph.
Although the deaths were originally deemed an accident brought on by overindulgence in herbal refreshments, that determination didn’t square with everyone.
