Thanks for listening and for commenting! Nature Preschools must be amazing. There is so much you can teach people about the value of outdoor play. I also love the advice to start outdoors. Can we say this on a future episode? If so, you can provide your name and location for credit on the episode.

This episode is great. I'm a preschool teacher at a Nature Preschool and we spend the majority of the day outdoors unless is dangerous (usually high winds). Rain, snow, wind - whatever it is, we are out in it (90% of the day in the fall/spring, 75% in the winter). The children love it and as an educator who came from a traditional background it took me a while to get used to it but now that I am, I actually prefer being outdoors. We aren't regulated by temperature, however, we will limit the time in below freezing weather. One tip: Start Outdoors! Have the parents drop off outdoors (if possible) and have them drop their kiddos off already dressed for the weather. Another plus - there's no better way to teach them independence skills than to have them take off their winter clothes when they come back inside. (fyi - my center is in Massachusetts)
