In 2 Thessalonians 2, Paul urges the Thessalonians to not be deceived by false teachings that the Day of the Lord is already here. He explains that before the Day of the Lord comes, a great rebellion and the man of lawlessness (the antichrist) must be revealed. He reminds them of what he had previously taught them and encourages them to hold fast to the traditions they had been taught. He concludes by praying for them and asking for their growth in faith and love.
