The train engine that brought George H.W. Bush to his final resting place almost one year ago is headed to the same location.

Union Pacific (UP) announced that around a year from now, locomotive No. 4141 will be moved to the Bush Library and Museum.

Speakers included retired UP CEO Dick Davidson, who was involved in manufacturing the engine and was asked by the president that he be transported to his burial site following his death.

Another speaker, Neil Bush, thanked everyone responsible and added this was a day was a convergence of the things his dad loved the most.

Leading 4141 to Bryan/College Station was another historic UP locomotive. Big Boy steam engine 4014 is in the middle of a tour of the UP system.

Thousands saw the twin engines Friday in Navasota and the area of Wellborn and F&B Roads in Bryan.

This podcast contains comments from Dick Davidson, Neil Bush, and UP assistant vice president of public affairs Brenda Mainwaring.
