Robertson County officials provided an update Sunday morning on tornadoes that went through the county on Saturday.

Emergency management coordinator Billy Huggins says those who want to volunteer should not show up unannounced. Volunteers can call the emergency operations center at 979-828-6680 to place their name on a list. Huggins says anyone "with a strong back" is invited to assist.

Huggins also says they have all the donated items they need, and sightseers were discouraged.

Sheriff Gerald Yezak reported there were no arrests Saturday night for trespassing or looting.

Huggins says there are 140 repair crews working to restore electricity. Huggins says 4,000 Entergy customers remain without power. He also told residents to continue considering downed electric lines as live. In the worst case scenario, it will take 72 hours to restore power.

Huggins says the tornado that went through Franklin destroyed 55 residences, one church, four businesses, and one duplex.

Huggins says the city working on restoring water, still under boil order on south side.

A dozen people spent Saturday night at the Baptist church. Huggins says food remains available at the church and they will be working Sunday on relocating those who were displaced.

Lara Thibodeaux, the medical provider at the CHI HealthPoint clinic in Franklin, said they were working on getting prescription needs met for those who were displaced.

And Huggins said for those missing animals to check the animal shelter that's been set up outside of Franklin at the AgriLife Extension 4-H office. to check for missing animals.
