Five months since the death of former president George H.W. Bush and approaching the first anniversary of the death of Barbara Bush, an operational transition is taking place.

The George H.W. Bush Presidential Library Foundation has changed its name to the George and Barbara Bush Foundation.

CEO David Jones says there is an alliance of the foundations the Bush's created. That includes the Bush library and museum, the Bush school at Texas A&M, the Barbara Bush foundation, and the Points of Light foundation.

The George and Barbara Bush foundation will remain based in College Station. Jones says they will take over about half of the late president's Houston office space as a satellite location as a special meeting place.

Meantime, attendance at the Bush Library and Museum continues at levels not seen for 20 years.

Jones says they're working on two projects to continue the strong attendance.

In a few years, a retired Marine One helicopter and restaurant will be added to the museum grounds.

And the foundation is working with Union Pacific to bring the 4141 train engine to the grounds on the Texas A&M campus.
