The National Commission for Voter Justice (NCVJ), or the People’s Commission, which week kicked off a nearly two year examination into voter suppression across the United States on the steps of the Supreme Court. The NCVJ is a non-partisan commission made up of prominent civil rights leaders, voting rights experts, scholars, elected officials, lawyers, students, millennial advocates, and community activists all committed to addressing and crafting a voter activation initiative that highlights and identifies traditional and new state voter suppression efforts; educates and equips voters with necessary tools to overcome barriers to voting; studies voter turnout in the 21st century and examining and implement measures that support increased voter turnout.
