Hey there, locals! Ready to get the scoop on your upcoming weather? Well, buckle up because we've got some interesting updates for you coming straight from the U.S. Department of Commerce and NOAA's Space Weather Prediction Center.

Let's start with some space weather news – yes, you heard it right! Geomagnetic activity has been observed, with the Kp index hitting 3 in the last 24 hours. As we look ahead to April 23rd through 25th, we're expecting a Kp index of around 4.33, indicating a minor geomagnetic storm might be heading our way on April 24th.

When it comes to solar radiation, NOAA's GOES-18 satellite has reported levels below storm thresholds so far. But don't let your guard down just yet! There's a 20% chance of a minor (S1) solar radiation storm from April 23rd to the 25th.

In the world of radio blackouts, we've seen some action with R1 level events in the past day, and we're likely to experience more of them with a 75% chance of R1-R2 incidents from April 23rd to 25th. And hey, keep an eye out for a slight chance of R3 or Strong radio blackouts too.

So, stay tuned and stay updated on how these cosmic events might impact us here on Earth. For more detailed information, check out the link in the show notes.
