  • Deliverance from Stupidparty Land: How to Eradicate the Destructive Forces Destroying American Democracy

18 MAY 2024 · Deliverance from Stupidparty Land seeks to explain the inexplicable, to place landing-strip beacons on the fading yet undeniably attractive runway flying us permanently away from snake-pit USA 2018—illuminating how as-yet-undiscovered trends can secure deliverance for a splintered, exhausted electorate that now simply lacks the fire power, the will power, to disrupt the seemingly irreversible trend into a dystopian future. How did the US voluntarily arrive at the doorstep of its own demise? This homemade manmade Handmaid’s Tale, where falsehoods and transparently mean-spirited claptrap trump facts and common decency—subverting naïve yet positive innocence into a malignant supremacist and myopic nationalistic agenda that is now in inflaming the planet’s already rising temperature of self-harm? All this to cloak the true aspirations of the identified malevolent Oligarchs, who no longer lie quietly waiting. The first book in this trilogy (Math v. Myth) exposed the blatant myths that now overshadow reality. The second book (Who is Jeb!!!) uncovered the horrible histories of the Bush dynasty—revealing how America, beginning with the JFK assassination, began its descent from being a force for good, to now having zero moral authority. Allies hold us in contempt; enemies nurture us. We must understand the problem in order to visualize and actualize the solution. Since I fear the solution is unlikely to be enacted organically, we must prepare to seek a ballot-box-inspired intervention from a higher power—we must seek deliverance from our own collective folly, not from the heavens but from our own homegrown saviors, whom we created in the image of own inescapable delusions.

  • Craig Pittman - Oh, Florida! How America's Weirdest State Influences the Rest of the Country.

18 MAY 2024 · Craig Pittman - Oh, Florida! How America's Weirdest State Influences the Rest of the Country. 4 days ago To some people, Florida is a paradise; to others, a punch line. As Oh, Florida! shows, it’s both of these and, more important, it’s a Petri dish, producing trends that end up influencing the rest of the country. Without Florida there would be no NASCAR, no Bettie Page pinups, no Glenn Beck radio rants, no USA Today, no “Stand Your Ground,” ...You get the idea. To outsiders, Florida seems baffling. It’s a state where the voters went for Barack Obama twice, yet elected a Tea Party candidate as governor. Florida is touted as a carefree paradise, yet it’s also known for its perils―alligators, sinkholes, pythons, hurricanes, and sharks, to name a few. It attracts 90 million visitors a year, some drawn by its impressive natural beauty, others bewitched by its manmade fantasies. Oh, Florida! explores those contradictions and shows how they fit together to make this the most interesting state. It is the first book to explore the reasons why Florida is so wild and weird―and why that’s okay. But there is far more to Florida than its sideshow freakiness. Oh, Florida! explains how Florida secretly, subtly influences all the other states in the Union, both for good and for ill.

  • Christine L. Kramer - inside RFK Jr.’s Chaotic White House Bid

18 MAY 2024 · Christine L. Kramer - inside RFK Jr.’s Chaotic White House Bid 4 days ago How serious is RFK's presidential bid? From the chaos of the launch through botched announcements, clarifications and retractions, it would appear to an outsider as not very. If his bid is serious then there are concerns about his standpoints on issues and, judging by his campaign thus far, his competency. Could it be he is actually a device, used and opaquely funded by the right wing, to draw votes away from Biden, therefore solidifying Trumps' figures in the election? Christine Kramer is a investigative reporter who has been on the inside of RFK's campaign. And she has some tales to tell. RFK Jr.,is an American politician, environmental lawyer, anti-vaccine activist, and conspiracy theorist. He is the chairman and founder of Children's Health Defense, an anti-vaccine advocacy group that is a leading proponent of COVID-19 vaccine misinformation, and an independent candidate in the 2024 presidential election. A member of the Kennedy family, he is a son of U.S. attorney general and senator Robert F. Kennedy, and nephew of U.S. president John F. Kennedy and senator Ted Kennedy. Kennedy began his career as an assistant district attorney in New York City. In 1984 and 1986, he joined two nonprofits focused on environmental protection: Riverkeeper and the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC). His work at Riverkeeper set long-term environmental legal standards. At both organizations, he won legal battles against large corporate polluters. He became an adjunct professor of environmental law at Pace University School of Law in 1986. In 1987, he founded Pace's Environmental Litigation Clinic, where he held the post of supervising attorney and co-director until 2017. He founded the nonprofit environmental group Waterkeeper Alliance in 1999, serving as the president of its board.

  • Matt Sergiou - Bloomsbury Chronicles

16 MAY 2024 · Matt Sergiou - Bloomsbury Chronicles Matt Sergiou joins Ed Opperman to talk about the Beatles, the Occult and 60's counter culture. It's an involved story of mysterious doings in the subgenres of society, particularly in Britain but also as the so-called British invasion took hold across the world. What was behind the fevered enthusiasm? Was there some sort of social engineering going on as Dave McGowan has previously claimed. Matt has been researching and his conclusions may surprise you. • Matt Sergiou – The Beatles, The Stones, the 60’s and Mind Control

16 MAY 2024 · Matt Sergiou – The Beatles, The Stones, the 60’s and Mind Control. Matt Sergiou has made a big effort to research not only the Beatles and their occult references and connections, but also the infiltration of the 60s counter culture and psychodelic influences. Were the Beatles and the Stones involved, albeit indirectly, in Decca Records funnelling money into military research? Were they coerced into giving an illusion that the peace movement could achieve it’s stated aims? How were the drugs which were responsible for one of the most creative and anarchic periods in music and art, so readily available to so many people? In a concise interview, Matt puts forward his case that much of the more successful music and acts were unwitting pawns in a game of distraction; at best they were innocent contributors for sinister operators, at worst they were willingly complicit in a mind control operation which altered the course of history. • Arielle Holmes - Mad Love in NYC - Star of Heaven Knows What

16 MAY 2024 · Arielle Holmes - Mad Love in NYC Jul 3, 2023 Ten years ago, Arielle Holmes was working as a dominatrix named Siouxsie at a club called Pandora’s Box. After she finished her shift she’d sleep in a doorway or park bench, then, when morning dawned, supplement her income by panhandling on New York’s Upper West Side.. One day, she was stopped by a man as she went into the subway. He was researching a movie, he said, and asked her if she might want to be in it. “I figured: what do I have to lose? I looked him up. He made movies. So I thought, you know, maybe it’ll work, maybe it won’t.” As they became friends, Holmes opened up about being homeless, her drug habit, her destructive relationship with another addict, Ilya, and her troubled upbringing. The director – Josh Safdie, part of an acclaimed Manhattan collective – encouraged Holmes to write about her experiences. She did, and her candid recollections – soon to be published as a memoir, Mad Love in New York City - convinced him to abandon the project he was working on and instead shoot a movie based on her life-story. Starring her. It's a story of strength, life and survival through epically bad times.

  • Joan Renner : Deranged L.A. Crimes

15 MAY 2024 · Agness “Aggie” Underwood never intended to become a reporter—all she really wanted was a pair of silk stockings. When her husband told her they couldn’t afford them, she threatened to get a job and buy them herself. Those silk stockings launched a career that started with Aggie at the switchboard of the Los Angeles Record newspaper in 1926, and ended more than four decades later when she retired as City Editor of the Los Angeles Herald Examiner. As a reporter for the Los Angeles Evening Herald and Express (later, Herald Examiner), Aggie not only reported on crimes throughout the city, but sometimes helped solve them. Using quick wit and intuition, Aggie helped her newspaper live up to its motto "The First with the Latest." Through the Los Angeles Herald Examiner’s photo archive, now held by the Los Angeles Public Library, the cases Aggie covered are more than just faded headlines, but come to life in light and shadow. This catalog of nearly 100 images, which compliments an exhibit at the Los Angeles Public Library's Central Library gives a brief overview of Agness Underwood and some of the cases she covered.
