Jesus offers us his tenderheartedness, kindness, and gentleness to us. We are being guided to release our attachment to the ego and allow him (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit to assist. When we are gentle with ourselves, our practice of the lessons will be more relaxing, enjoyable and peaceful.
