Had a coworker that had the same transmission in his '98, rebuilt that one as well. Told him buy this and this and that in addition to the rebuild kit. He is now a happy camper

Just like when I rebuilt the transmission in my 95 F-150, that thing is bulletproof

I use youtube quite a bit too. And yeah. Much rather do it myself cause I know I'll do it right.

and I am sure it was still cheaper than paying a shop to do the work, and I know what was done

I learn alot from youtube videos. Cost me $700 once for a new tool, but it made the job go a hell of a lot easier that what I had in mind

We went to my stepson's graduation in CA, worst 4 days of my life, BTW. When we were leaving the airport the lady behind the counter at one of the stores in the magazine shop said, "would you like to donate to the troops?" I told her I got two Marines drunk as hell last night, does that count?

He was part of the original crew that was stationed on the ship when I first got there. Great bunch of guys. After 4 years the quality of the people started going downhill rapidly
